Torn between duty and survival, nothing can be the same.

Everything Ivy Morgan thought she knew has been turned on its head. After being betrayed and then nearly killed by the Prince of the Fae, she’s left bruised and devastated—and with an earth-shattering secret that she must keep at all costs. And if the Order finds out her secret, they’ll kill her.

Then there’s Ren Owens, the sexy, tattooed Elite member of the Order who has been sharing Ivy’s bed and claiming her heart. Their chemistry is smoking hot, but Ivy knows that Ren has always valued his duty to the Order above all else—he could never touch her if he knew the truth. That is, if he let her live at all. Yet how can she live with herself if she lies to him?

But as the Fae Prince begins to close in, intent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld, Ivy is running out of options. If she doesn’t figure out who she can trust—and fast—it’s not only her heart that will be torn apart, but civilization itself.

*Ques internal screaming* I feel like I waited forever for this book. And OMG am I glad to have it finally. The cover is absolutely gorgeous just like Wicked's was and speaks volumes about the book!

I would like to take a moment to appreciate all that is Tink. For real. He should come stay at my house and be my BFF where I will feed him sugary goodness all day everyday and we will Amazon shop till our hearts content. I need a Tink in my life. He is probably my most favorite character in this series (sorry not sorry Ivy and Ren). I loved him in Wicked but in Torn he just...mic drop.

Torn picks up right were Wicked left off and suddenly we are all back in NOLA sweating our butts off with Ivy. There are some awesome plot twists that I never saw coming in this book and we are introduced officially to probably one of the best bad guys I've read about in a long time! We really get a better peek into all that is Ren in Torn as well which is something I was seriously craving. He's always been a bit of a mystery to me and his dedication for Ivy is tested this go around. I have to say, I was on the edge of my seat freaking out right alongside Ivy when it came to wondering what Ren would do.

Ivy has to make some hard choices in this installment to the Wicked saga and I surprisingly supported all of her decisions (while yelling at her when she was at Ren's house during that one scene we won't talk about...) She is such a fantastic character and I'm so glad she stayed true to herself. Though there was a bit of a gap between the release of Wicked and the release of Torn I was so happy to find that JLA did not let us down and instead was able to toss us right back into this incredible world she has built.

I'm not going to lie when I say that I think JLA is one of the Queens of the Dreaded Cliffhangers. We saw it in Wicked and we see it again in Torn and I cannot wait until the release of the third and final book in the series, Brave (goodness what a title!). If you enjoy a little fantasy, a head strong and bad-ass female lead and a mystery and swoon-worthy guy then I highly recommend reading the Wicked saga!
